FOND DU LAC - DONA International has named local birth professional Kamala McCormick a recipient of the new designation of Advanced Certified Birth Doula established in 2015.

This designation serves to honor its certified doulas who have maintained certification in good standing for a minimum of six years, and during their tenure as a DONA-certified doula, pursued additional training, certification and/or licensure in a related field(s); been published on the topic of doulas, birth, breastfeeding, parenting or postpartum issues; and made major contributions to the promotion and advancement of the mission and purpose of DONA International, the doula profession and in the maternal-child field.

Having met DONA International’s rigorous eligibility criteria, McCormick is privileged to be one of a select few doulas in the world to have earned this advanced certification, exclusive to DONA International.
